Francuzsky pilot v sluzbach RAF Pierre Clostermann vo svojej knihe Velky cirkus popisuje bojove stretnutie s tymto strojom. Clostermann so svojim Tempestom, co bol najvykonnejsi britsky stihaci typ, mal podla vlastnych slov problem udrzat s nim rychlost, nakoniec mu Nemec usiel.
